Comments: I am a retired US airforce pilot, who during my service had
occasion to fly a classified mission to Abbyschrule. I flew a Phantom
F1 from RAF Brody in Wales to Abbyschrule, on my approach to EIAB, I
was advised that due to heavy traffic I would need to go into a holding
pattern untill runway was clear, apparently a BA Concorde had made a
unscheduled stop for refuelling due to unavailability of fuel at Shannon,
the same unavailability of fuel had resulted in the arrival of 4 B52's
from Nellis AFB Nevada, all of which were parked at the end of the runway.
Once the Concorde had departed I was given clearence to land at EIAB.
The landing was uneventful, I was instructed by ATC to taxi to the restricted
area reserved for the 4 B52's. On parking and engine shutdown I noticed
the refueling in progress, apparently a local farmer had aquired a large
tank of green coloured kerosene from DENORT, I understood this to be
a local oil supplier. My mission purpose is no longer classified, and
it entailed the transport of 20 kilos of raw plutonium to the USS George
Washington nuclear sub which was docked at the river just to the west
of EIAB. Having completed my delivery, and consumed a HANG SANGER (local
bread and meat) at the Tower building I departed for Brody, I can confirm
that this happened and the flight logbook can be viewed in the USAF
archives in Washington DC under mission code named S.P.A.N.N.E.R.

and C5 to use.

Comments: Abbeyshrule Airfield is not a wide enough runway to enable
a C-17 Globemaster to land on it and if a C-17 did land there, it would
crumble the runway and there is also no taxiway and no ramp for the
aircraft to park on let alone turnaround on so dont gimme some bullshit
that it lands there because it doesnt. If it did, the hippies would
be up there in a flash protesting and jumping over the ever high 4 foot

Comments: I live near the airfield and see military aircraft using it
on a regular basis. The large aircraft I normally see are C17 Globmasters.
These aircraft have a STOL (short takeoff and landing) ability and only
require about 300 metres of the 800 metres available on the runway.
I have spoken with some of the aircrews and they are happy with the
facilities. Their only complaint is that the local hostelry does not
stay open throughout the night to enable them to get a beer or a coffee
which would make a change from theit on-board rations.

Comments: It is physically and technically impossible for these aircraft
to land or take off at Abbeyshrule, and your undated, unidentifiable
pictures, and incorrect assertions are all fraudulent and very likely
libellous. I know full well from my frequent visits to the location
that nothing of this sort takes place. Ever.
I speak as a working pilot who, personally, is
vigorously opposed to US policy in Iraq.
Even if one of these aircraft flew by in an airshow
on a Sunday afternoon a few summers ago, (which is the only picture
you could take) that would not warrant your claims.
Just as carelessly, you are diverting the energies
and fooling people who maintain a thought-out, sincere and genuinely
held oppostion on Irish government attitudes to US policy in Iraq.
If even a single one of those has actually gone
to Abbeyshrule to view the "warplanes" landing and taking
off then you owe them an apology, some expenses, and a promise to desist
from peddling the lies and bullshit on your site so it does not waste
other people's time.
It is, finally, disgraceful how in your intelltctual
laziness you have maligned the business of a fine family, the owners
of the airfield, who have devoted a lifetime to peaceful aviation pursuits
in the Irish countryside - training, repairs, and pure pleasure flying.
Of course you haven't given a moment's thought to how putting your fanatasies
on the internet might affect them. But I can only suppose that wouldn't
interest you as that's real-world stuff, to do with real people and
their actual lives and livelihoods - and not the "Irish Area 51"
nonsense which you obviously find so fascinating.
Casual, careless, thoughtless, cynical, discgraceful,

Comments: Was in Abbeyshrule at the weekend, took pictures of the whole
area and to my suprise i found.................NOT A SINGLE MUTHA FUCKING
THING. Not even any Rubber marks consistent with what a C-130 leaves
on a Runway as it touches down.
I was in a Camo tent for 3days listening into
Radio's to see if there was any activity anywhere and there wasnt, the
most exciting thing i saw was some Cessna's a yes the Cessna so rugged
and reliable, are the Cessna'a your Secret Hercules Aircraft that land
there? Do they turn into C-103's when you press a button like in Transformers?NO
THEY DONT.
Since the C-130's do land in Abbeyshrule as you
suggest, that means that you must know when they land so what time is
it most appropriate to see these Aircraft on the Ground and Abbbeyshrule?

No. I'm not saying Abbeyshrule is Ireland's "Area 51", for
a start there are no alien spaceships here!
What is going on though, is that US military aircraft are using the
airfield here on a regular basis as part of their buildup for the illegal

who owns this site, but the second hercules is in fact a USAF Hercules,
no offence but did you not see the US Flag on the Tail ? ? Besides the

is a lie/
1. the runway is only big enought to take a light twin
2.the first pics are of c130 of the vietnam era which are no longer
used the second one is a brit c130
3.it is a blackhawk helo but the kind only found on ships i know this
as i fly them every day, what gives it away is the dome on the nose
which houses the infra red sensor
so please pull your head out of your ass

That photo of the C-130 Hercules transport plane could have been taken
anywhere in the world. Not only that but the colour scheme of the aircraft
